Skooshny are one of the great lost cult bands of American alternative music, a group who've always maintained mystery and a strong self-belief, whilst dazzling with amazing songs.

Skooshny are a group who were always ahead of their time, during their early years they were producing what some might called Paisley Underground style music almost a decade before the genre had a name, they were also ahead of the 80s and 90s Alternative "college rock" genre by years too.

Forged from the songwriting genius of Mark Breyer and cemented together by the class musicianship of David Winogrond, Bruce Wagner and others - Skooshny is a band which cannot ultimately be pigeon-holed, over the years they've been called power pop, psychedelic, alternative, indie and have been compared to artists such as R.E.M, XTC, The Soft Boys, and Brevis Fond as well as earlier luminaries such as the Byrds however there is so much more to the band than these comparisons. Skooshny are a unique group, with a unique vision and unique sound, who have made consistently great music during their lifetime.

This EP features Skooshny's first ever 1972 recording "One Wrong Move" and this is coupled with "No for Yes" a full band recording from 1998 with the original core members.

The B-side of the EP presents three demos recorded in 1980 which give us an insight in Mark Breyer's songwriting process and prowess. The songs are slightly different to the original productions, giving a charming insight into one of the US' most underrated songwriters; The demos showcase Breyer's great knack for interweaving intelligent lyrics around lovely melodies.

The release is limited to 300 copies only.
